In 2017 we joined Coach Core’s Team Essex. Coach Core is a program designed to provide a sustainable change following on from the Olympics. Having looked at coach education pathways and sustainability Coach Core created an apprenticeship program to change the ecosystem in which the Olympic Legacy is delivered.

We joined the program in year 2 and renewed for year 3 and hopefully beyond.

In the first year we took on 3 apprentices and alongside the program we mentored them to deliver amazing community projects to a wide range of families. One of our apprentices actually got voted the 2 best apprentice in the country, across all sectors not just Coach Core or sport.

We renewed for the following year, year 3 for Team Essex. However this year we took on 6 Apprentices, 4 directly and 2 in a partnership with Achievement Through Football.
